Recruit Buck at Hikarishima Lighthouse (-137, -14). Bounce is needed to reach him; learn Bounce in Oxbury after opening the rock region. Progress Buck’s roleplaying requests: The Silver Company, the Nordweiler trip and the Oracle Tree at Furogawa lead to “Demons of Light.” This request points to Hidden Shrine (-185, -92). Bring 2 Obols and interact with the shrine to learn Light Burst. Searching every ordinary island for a second starting shrine skips the Buck prerequisite.

Use and cooldown

Use the action assigned to [Light Burst] in your control bindings to release a circular burst of Everlight. The ability recharges in about three seconds. During Buck’s event, hit the corrupted orcs with a dark purple aura using Light Burst: these yield XP Potions. Bumping ordinary orcs yields Glims instead.

The ability is also used for Buck’s Tondor fire locations. Use the Light Burst action shown in your control bindings or on-screen prompt.
